Marketing
Marketing and advetising is generally the most important channel for growing and promoting your business - although this is not always the case as some businesses rely on other methods such as networking. Knowing how and when to advertise and using which channel can be a minefield for those not familiar with how it all works. The general rule is that there is no general rule, it depends upon your business, budget and target audience. We advise you research what your competitors are doing (the successful ones) and see which strategy works best for your business
Negotiating
Negotiating a price for a product or service is common practice with small businesses, especially as they buy form each other on a regular basis. Although the concept seems logical it is not suitable in all circumstances and some businesses will take a dim view if you try and knock money of their quotations. Do not neogtiate merely for the sake of it,only do it if you believe you can obtain a signififcant saving and that you can get the service / product somehwere else at a lower price..
